About Phoebe lou

During a windblown March storm in 1939, Phoebe Lou (Baker) Sealy was born in Walters, OK in her grandfather's filling station / grocery store. This wild beginning was to set the stage of a person of many talents.

As a young adult, she traveled extensively through 38 states, went to 8 different schools, and lived in 9 different states by the time she was 11. She graduated from Lawton High School in 1957, attended Cameron College (now known as Cameron University) for one year, and then transferred to the University of Oklahoma (boomer sooner!) where she received a BFA and teaching degree.

Phoebe has a multi-faceted background in acrylic & oil painting, custom jewelry, gift packaging & in-store display, illustrations, photography, stain glass, and limited watercolors. She also has extended studies in Printmaking and Photography from the Kansas City Art Institute and attended graduate school at the University of Oklahoma in Painting and Art History.
